Loyalty & Rewards
Best BON Loyalty Alternatives 2026: for Growing, International and Enterprise Stores
BON Loyalty Growth costs $129 a month for unlimited orders. That is the cheapest unlimited-order plan of any loyalty app in our 30-app pricing sheet, and it explains why most merchants who leave BON end up paying more. At 10,000 orders a month, the same program on Smile.io costs $1,124. On Growave it costs $999.
The case for switching has to come from features. BON sells none of the following at any price:
- Paid memberships
- Apple and Google Wallet passes
- Self-service bulk points import
Love Loyalty is the strongest upgrade for merchants who need memberships, POS depth or B2B tiers. Appstle Loyalty is the only app here that undercuts BON on price. All pricing and ratings below were checked on 27 October 2026, and our BON Loyalty review documents the product itself.
Key highlights: the best BON Loyalty alternatives
**Love Loyalty, from $12/mo.** The upgrade for merchants who need paid memberships, wallet passes or B2B customer segments. It is also the only app here publishing a BON-specific migration.
**Appstle Loyalty, from $10/mo.** The pick if price is your reason for leaving. VIP tiers cost $30 a month against BON’s $129, and Appstle stays cheaper than BON up to 5,000 orders.
**LoyaltyLion, from $199/mo.** The pick if reporting is your reason for leaving. RFM data and customer lifetime value are on every paid tier.
What BON Loyalty does well
BON holds 5.0 stars from 1,965 reviews on the Shopify App Store, with 11 one-star reviews across that base. VEGAHUB Technology Inc. launched it in August 2021 and reports 10,000 merchants across 173 countries.
The free plan covers 150 orders a month with points, referrals, automated emails and percentage or fixed-amount discounts, which is a working program at no cost. Shopify POS arrives at Basic for $29. VIP tiers, B2B tiers, streak purchases and daily check-ins arrive at Growth for $129, where the order cap disappears entirely.
One detail worth getting right, because most comparison pages do not, and the two sources disagree even here. BON’s own documentation lists four admin interface languages: English, French, German and Spanish. The Shopify listing shows five, adding Japanese. Neither number is the 250+ figure on bonloyalty.com, which describes how many languages a merchant can display their own loyalty text in: ten of those translate automatically, and the rest are manual. Pages that quote 250+ as if it were admin or automatic translation are describing a product that does not exist.
Why merchants consider BON Loyalty alternatives
They need deeper analytics and reliable segment sync
てんのしごと道具店 (Japan, February 2025, almost two years on the app) reports customer rank segments failing to sync to Shopify, which forced a manual monthly check, along with deleted customer records reappearing in reports. BON’s analytics arrive at Basic and stay flat above it.
They need paid memberships or recurring loyalty revenue
BON has no paid membership tier on any plan. Love Loyalty, Rivo and Joy all sell one, and for a brand wanting predictable retention revenue that gap ends the evaluation early. Our Love Loyalty alternatives page compares them on exactly that feature.
They need wallet passes or deeper checkout surfaces
BON has no Apple or Google Wallet pass. Redemption runs through generated discount codes, and Curtarra (Hong Kong, January 2025) reports no cap enforcement on those codes plus a backend filling with unused ones.
They need broader reviews, UGC or wishlist tools
BON is a loyalty app on its own. Adding reviews and a wishlist means two more apps and two more bills.
They need more advanced API or enterprise support
API access and Hydrogen headless support sit on BON Plus, which is quoted rather than published. William Glen (US, February 2024, one year on the app) reports no sales-channel filtering, so Amazon orders consume the plan’s order allowance without earning points for anyone. Our Shopify Plus loyalty apps roundup covers who publishes enterprise terms rather than quoting them.
Who should stay with BON Loyalty
Stay if you process more than roughly 1,500 orders a month and your program is points, referrals and VIP tiers. At that volume $129 unlimited is unbeatable, and every alternative in this article costs more for the same mechanics.
Stay if your storefront runs in many languages. BON’s translation coverage is matched only by LoyaltyLion at $199 and Growave.
Stay if you sit under 150 orders and the free plan does the job, which our free Shopify loyalty apps roundup ranks on the order cap rather than the feature list.
Switch if you need memberships, wallet passes, an API under $100 a month, or segment data you can trust without a manual reconciliation each month.
What it costs to leave BON at 500, 2,500 and 10,000 orders
Monthly cost on the cheapest plan that clears each volume, at list price, billed monthly, in USD. Every store order counts toward these caps, including orders from customers who never join the program, which is the overage trap our cost-at-scale research found across 12 apps.
| App | 500 orders | 2,500 orders | 10,000 orders | VIP tiers from |
| BON Loyalty | $29 | $129 | $129 | $129 |
| Appstle Loyalty | $10 | $100 | $175 at $0.015/order | $30 |
| Love Loyalty | $12 | $154 | $399 | $79 |
| Joy | $29 | $179 | $649 | $129 |
| Smile.io | $15 | $199 | $1,124 | $199 |
| Growave | $15 | $349 | $999 | $199 |
| Rivo | $15 | $469 | $499 | $49 |
| LoyaltyLion | $199 | Custom, quoted | Custom, quoted | $199 plan add-on |
Three things fall out of that table.
Below 500 orders, six of the seven alternatives undercut BON. BON’s Basic plan at $29 is the second most expensive entry point on the list, which is why small stores leaving BON almost always save money.
Above roughly 1,500 orders the picture inverts, and only Appstle stays cheaper. BON’s unlimited allowance at $129 removes the overage arithmetic that pushes Growave to $349 and Rivo to $469 at 2,500 orders.
At 10,000 orders a BON merchant switching to Smile.io pays 8.7 times more, and Smile’s $999 Plus plan is sold on annual billing only. Rivo’s hard $499 ceiling on the Scale plan makes its bill predictable from roughly 2,650 orders upward, though Appstle and BON are both cheaper at that scale.
The Shopify loyalty app pricing comparison carries the full plan ladders. Our loyalty apps for small Shopify stores under 500 orders covers the sub-500 band in more detail.
How we picked these 7 alternatives
Ranking loyalty apps by feature count tells a BON merchant nothing, because BON already has the features most lists count. Five things decided this order.
- **Cost at your real volume.** Entry prices are misleading when the incumbent sells unlimited orders for $129. Every app was priced at 500, 2,500 and 10,000 orders.
- **What BON gates or lacks.** Memberships, wallet passes, API access under $100 and sales-channel filtering.
- **Whether your data moves.** Which apps import points and VIP tiers without opening a support ticket.
- **Storefront language coverage,** since a large share of BON’s base sells internationally.
- **Complaint patterns since January 2024,** read from one and two-star reviews on each listing, and cross-checked against our app-by-app review study covering 25 apps.

Ratings and prices verified 27 October 2026 on Shopify App Store listings and vendor pricing pages.
1. Love Loyalty
Love Loyalty is the only app on this list that publishes a named migration path from BON, run by its own team inside 24 hours with no work from the merchant. For a BON user that removes the largest obstacle to switching. The trade is review volume, since 412 reviews is a fifth of BON’s base.
Why Love Loyalty is a better fit
- Paid memberships from Growth at $79, charged at a 1.8% transaction fee, dropping to 0.8% on Plus
- Apple and Google Wallet passes, VIP tiers, B2B customer segments and bonus campaigns all unlock at $79, against $129 on BON
- Professional at $12 covers 500 orders with POS, a dedicated loyalty page, points on product pages and 30+ integrations
- Plus at $399 adds checkout extensions and API access, where BON quotes for both
Growth includes 2,000 orders and adds $15 per 100 after that, so a 2,500-order store pays $154. Annual billing cuts Growth to $59 a month. Our Smile.io vs Love Loyalty comparison covers how it stacks up against the incumbent most BON merchants are also weighing.
Best for
Stores between 500 and 2,000 orders a month that need memberships or wallet passes, and want the migration handled for them.
2. Rivo
Rivo is the only app here that lets you import VIP tiers yourself. Everyone else, BON included, routes bulk points work through a support queue. If you have tier structures you care about and a launch date you cannot move, that difference decides it.
Why Rivo is a better fit
- Self-service CSV import at Settings > CSV Imports covering email, points balance, birthdate, VIP tier, activation date and credits balance, up to 50MB per file
- VIP tiers at $49, the second cheapest on this list
- Scale is hard-capped at $499 a month at any order volume, so the bill stops climbing at roughly 2,650 orders
- Plus at $499 adds checkout extensions and the developer toolkit
Scale includes 400 orders and adds $20 per 100 above that, so the middle of the range is expensive. A 2,500-order store pays $469. Rivo’s website states a 7-day trial while the Shopify listing states 14 days, so confirm before you install, a discrepancy our Rivo review also flags.
Best for
Merchants migrating tier structures themselves, and high-volume stores that want a known monthly ceiling.
3. Joy
Joy matches BON’s engagement mechanics and adds the pieces BON gates or omits. Daily check-ins and streaks exist in both, and Joy layers memberships and wallet passes on top at the same $129 price point BON charges for tiers alone.
Why Joy is a better fit
- Paid membership, VIP tiers, B2B tiers, milestone rewards and a rule engine at Advanced, $129
- Apple and Google Wallet passes, POS extension and cart-drawer redemption at the same tier
- Advanced translation at $129, useful for the international stores BON attracts
- Free plan covers 250 orders against BON’s 150
Advanced covers 2,000 orders and adds $10 per 100. Checkout extensions require Ultimate at $499 and a Shopify Plus store, which is two gates stacked on one feature. Our Joy Loyalty alternatives page picks up the stores that outgrow that tier.
Best for
Stores under 2,000 orders that want memberships and wallet passes without leaving BON’s price band.
4. LoyaltyLion
LoyaltyLion answers the specific complaint that sends analytical merchants away from BON. Every paid tier includes RFM data, customer lifetime value, customer activity reporting and a sales-channel breakdown export. That last one directly addresses the Amazon-orders problem BON merchants report.
Why LoyaltyLion is a better fit
- RFM, CLV and channel-level reporting on Classic, Advanced and Plus
- API access and headless API access on every plan, where BON reserves both for a quoted Plus tier
- Multilingual translation across 130+ languages from Advanced
- Custom earning activities and scheduled bonus campaigns for programs BON cannot model
It is the most expensive entry on this list at $199, carries one of the lowest ratings at 4.7 from 543 reviews, and VIP tiers are an add-on on Classic. Checkout redemption is restricted to Shopify Plus. Our LoyaltyLion review covers where the reporting depth actually shows up.
Best for
Brands above roughly $1M in revenue that need loyalty reporting they can defend to a finance team.
5. Smile.io
Smile.io is the safest choice by evidence volume. At 4,647 reviews it has more merchant feedback than every other app in this article combined, and native Shopify POS support on the free plan, which BON holds back until $29.
Why Smile.io is a better fit
- POS on every plan including free, where BON requires Basic
- Klaviyo depth including Customer Hub support, plus unlimited integrations from Growth
- 30+ prebuilt reports, loyalty benchmarks and financial reporting at the top tiers
- White-glove migration handled by Smile on the Plus plan
VIP tiers cost $199 and API access costs $999 on annual billing, which are the two walls merchants complain about most. At 10,000 orders Smile runs $1,124 a month against BON’s $129. Our Smile.io review and our Klaviyo integration guide cover the parts that most often decide it.
Best for
Stores under 1,000 orders that want the most documented loyalty app on Shopify and the widest integration coverage.
6. Appstle Loyalty & Rewards
Appstle is the only app in this article that beats BON on price at every volume it publishes, which makes it the honest answer for anyone leaving BON over the $129 VIP gate. Business at $30 covers 2,000 orders and includes the tier system BON charges four times as much for.
Why Appstle is a better fit
- VIP tiers from $30, against $129 on BON
- Business Premium at $100 covers 5,000 orders, a volume that costs $199 on Smile.io and $499 on Growave
- Native Shopify POS, cart and checkout point redemption, store credits and data exports
- Multi-language and multi-currency support, with 20% off annual billing
Above 5,000 orders it meters rather than upgrades, at $0.015 per extra order on the Shopify listing, though Appstle’s own comparison material still quotes $0.05. The integration roster is thinner than Smile’s or LoyaltyLion’s.
Best for
BON merchants under 5,000 orders whose reason for leaving is the cost of VIP tiers.
7. Growave
Growave replaces three apps. Loyalty, product reviews and a wishlist run from one dashboard on one bill, which is the case for it over keeping BON and bolting on specialists.
Why Growave is a better fit
- Photo reviews, Q&A, review request email series and rich snippets included at every tier
- Wishlist with back-in-stock and on-sale emails, plus a gift registry from Growth
- Multi-language storefront and translations on all plans, matching BON’s international strength
- REST API, JavaScript SDK, metafields and webhooks from Plus at $499, cheaper than BON’s quoted Plus
Entry at $15 adds $20 per 100 orders above 500, so the overage bites early. Unlimited orders cost $999 against BON’s $129. If you want reviews and loyalty together and have no use for a wishlist, Okendo at 4.8 from 1,444 reviews runs $99 to $999 on its loyalty module, with reviews plans from $19. Our Growave review covers the module split in detail.
Best for
Merchants consolidating loyalty, reviews and wishlist tools into a single vendor.
How to migrate from BON Loyalty to an alternative
Getting data out of BON is self-service. Open the Customer Data tab, click Export, and the file goes to the email address registered to your Shopify account, which cannot be changed. The export covers names, emails, Shopify customer IDs, birthdays, tiers and referral details. Above 30,000 customers you contact support.
Tiers survive that export. They frequently do not survive the import at the other end. Rivo is the only app here documenting self-service VIP tier import. Love Loyalty runs the whole BON migration for you inside 24 hours. Everyone else takes a CSV through a support ticket, which is the same process BON itself uses for inbound points.
A workable sequence:
- Export from BON and record the date and time of the snapshot
- Freeze earning for a short window, or accept a small reconciliation gap
- Import to the new app and check 20 customers by hand for balance and tier placement
- Switch the storefront widget, then uninstall BON
Do not run both programs live at once. Customers earn twice and the reconciliation afterwards costs more than the downtime would have. Our guide to moving loyalty points between Shopify apps documents the import side for each of these apps.
Final verdict
For most BON merchants above 1,500 orders a month, the correct decision is to stay. The $129 unlimited plan is the best price in the category at that volume, and no app here delivers the same points and tier program more cheaply. The switch makes sense when a feature BON does not sell is blocking your program, and the three that block programs most often are paid memberships, wallet passes and trustworthy segment data.
| Where you are | Best pick | Why |
| Under 150 orders, testing loyalty | Stay on BON free | Points and referrals at $0 |
| Under 500 orders, want VIP tiers | Appstle Business, $30 | BON gates tiers at $129 |
| 500 to 2,000, need memberships or wallets | Love Loyalty Growth, $79 | BON sells neither at any tier |
| 500 to 2,000, want wallets at BON’s price | Joy Advanced, $129 | Memberships, wallets, POS and B2B together |
| Migrating tier structures yourself | Rivo Scale, $49 | Only self-service tier import |
| Leaving over reporting | LoyaltyLion Classic, $199 | RFM and CLV on every paid tier |
| Consolidating reviews and wishlist | Growave Growth, $199 | Three tools, one bill |
| Above 1,500 orders, core loyalty works | Stay on BON Growth, $129 | Cheapest unlimited plan in the category |
