7 Best Loyalty Apps for Shopify Plus Stores (2026)
Shopify Scripts stopped running on 30 June 2026. If you haven’t audited checkout since, any points discount that ran through a Script is already gone, and your loyalty app’s checkout extension now has to do that job. Moving to Shopify Plus also brings an API requirement and order volumes past the caps on most mid-tier plans. That’s where loyalty apps for Shopify Plus split, because some charge one price at any volume and others bill again for every 100 orders past the cap.
Love Loyalty is the best value for Shopify Plus stores that want checkout redemption and an API without order caps. Smile is the pick for brands with a security review to pass, LoyaltyLion fits groups sharing one program across several brands, and Joy covers headless builds under 17,000 orders a month.
We ranked each app on the plan that includes Shopify Plus features and what that plan costs at your order volume.
Our Picks at a Glance
- Love Loyalty: Shopify Plus stores that want checkout redemption and an API without order caps.
- Smile: Shopify Plus brands that need SOC 2 and white-glove migration.
- LoyaltyLion: Multi-brand groups sharing one rewards program.
- Joy: Headless and multi-store Shopify Plus brands under 17,000 orders.
- Growave: Shopify Plus stores replacing separate reviews and wishlist apps.
- Yotpo: Shopify Plus brands already running Yotpo Reviews.
- Okendo: Shopify Plus brands consolidating reviews and loyalty on Okendo.

Switching from another loyalty app? In our own study of 3,410 Shopify App Store reviews, 86% of the reviews that described a switch between loyalty apps praised the vendor’s migration support. Smile includes white-glove migration on its Plus plan, and Appstle includes it on every plan.
How we ranked these loyalty apps for Shopify Plus
Every app here runs points and referrals, so we judged each one on its cheapest plan with checkout redemption and API access, priced at 2,000 to 25,000 orders a month. Prices come from vendor pricing pages and App Store listings, checked in September and October 2026.
- Checkout redemption: the plan where customers spend points inside Shopify checkout.
- API and headless access: an API, webhooks (automatic data pushes to your other tools) or Hydrogen, Shopify’s framework for headless storefronts.
- Cost at volume: the monthly bill at each order level, overage included.
- POS and B2B: POS across locations and wholesale programs, covered in our guide to loyalty apps for Shopify POS.
- Support and migration: onboarding and migration help on the plan.
Cost decides the order when two apps fit the same buyer. An app that solves a problem the cheaper ones can’t, like Smile’s SOC 2 or LoyaltyLion’s multi-brand program, ranks above its price. Smaller stores can start with our best Shopify loyalty apps.
What Shopify Plus stores need from a loyalty app
With Scripts deprecated, Shopify Functions now run the discount logic, and the loyalty app’s checkout extension is the part customers see. That extension lets a signed-in customer pick a reward inside checkout and see the points the order will earn. It only works on Shopify Plus, and the plan that includes it ranges from $99 to $499 a month across this list.
API access is the next gate. Brands on Hydrogen or another custom storefront need loyalty data through an API, so a plan without one can’t show points on their pages. Most of these apps keep the API for plans at $399 a month or more.
Volume comes third, and it moves the bill more than most buyers expect. At 10,000 orders a month, the same feature set costs $399 on one app here and $1,124 on another.
Our study shows where merchants get burned. Pricing drives 44.0% of one- and two-star reviews, against 9.9% of written reviews overall, so price any plan at next year’s order volume before you sign. Support is the most-discussed topic in loyalty app reviews (70.6% of written reviews, against 27.2% for rewards features). Merchants write about it most because it’s where problems surface, so ask each vendor for its support hours and response times in writing.
The 7 best loyalty apps for Shopify Plus in 2026
1. Love Loyalty
Rating: 5.0 (394 reviews, as of 21 Oct 2026) | Price: $12–$399/mo | Free trial: 14 days
Who it’s for
Love Loyalty is best for Shopify Plus stores that want unlimited orders on one flat plan. It’s an all-in-one loyalty app for growing stores and enterprise Shopify Plus brands. It runs points, referrals, VIP tiers, paid memberships, B2B programs and POS from one admin, which means one bill and one set of customer data. It has the Built for Shopify badge (as of 13 October 2026), Shopify’s mark for apps that meet its performance and integration standards. The Plus plan adds checkout extensions, API access, performance audits and on-demand development. Design control is what its users lean on, and customization comes up in 55.4% of its 186 written reviews, 1.4 times the category rate.
Features that matter
- Checkout extensions (Shopify Plus): customers redeem points inside Shopify checkout on the Plus plan.
- API access: the Plus plan includes API access and on-demand development for custom builds.
- Paid memberships: sell a paid loyalty tier from the Growth plan at $79/mo.
- B2B programs: run separate programs for wholesale customer segments, also from Growth.
- Apple and Google Wallet passes: members carry their points balance in a phone wallet pass from Growth up.
- Shopify POS support: in-store purchases earn and redeem points from the Professional plan at $12/mo.
- Integrations: Shopify Flow, Klaviyo and 30+ other integrations come on every paid plan.
Where it wins
- Checkout redemption, API access and unlimited orders all sit on one plan.
- Paid memberships, B2B programs and wallet passes run from the same admin.
- Performance audits and on-demand development are included on the Plus plan.
Watch out for
- 394 reviews against Smile’s 4,640, so there’s less merchant feedback to go on.
- Paid memberships carry a 0.8% transaction fee on the Plus plan, and 1.8% on Growth.
Cost at your volume
- Professional: $12/mo for 500 orders, with POS, Flow and Klaviyo included.
- Growth: $79/mo for 2,000 orders, plus $15 per extra 100 orders.
- Plus plan: $399/mo with unlimited orders, checkout extensions and API access.
Why it ranks here
Every other app on this list charges more for the same checkout and API features at 5,000 orders and above. Smile has the larger review base and SOC 2, but costs $600 more a month at 5,000 orders. Our Love Loyalty review covers setup and support in detail.

Smile is best for Shopify Plus brands that need SOC 2 and white-glove migration. It’s for brands whose IT or procurement team has to approve every vendor. Its Plus plan includes SOC 2 compliance (an independent audit of how a vendor protects customer data) plus security review support. It also suits brands that want the vendor to handle the launch plan and quarterly program monitoring. Brands weighing a move away can compare Smile.io alternatives.
Features that matter
- Checkout extensions (Shopify Plus): points redemption and points-earned display in checkout start on Growth at $199/mo.
- API access: the Plus plan adds API access and a front-end JavaScript SDK for custom storefronts.

- The Plus plan adds financial reports on top of 30+ pre-built loyalty reports.
- Priority support and quarterly program monitoring come with the Plus plan.
Watch out for
- API access starts on the Plus plan at $999/mo.
- The Plus plan includes 7,500 orders, then charges $5 per extra 100.

Cost at your volume

- Plus plan: $999/mo, billed annually, for 7,500 orders, plus $5 per extra 100.
- Enterprise: custom pricing with unlimited orders and custom API rate limits.
Why it ranks here
Smile is the only app here with SOC 2 on a published plan, which is why it sits above the cheaper Joy and Growave. It costs more than Love Loyalty at every volume, so it ranks second unless a security review is part of your buying process.
3. LoyaltyLion
Rating: 4.6 (541 reviews, as of 21 Oct 2026) | Price: From $199/mo | Free trial: 14 days
Who it’s for
LoyaltyLion is best for multi-brand groups sharing one rewards program. It’s for retention teams that want analytics alongside the program. Every paid plan includes RFM reports (customers grouped by how recently, how often and how much they buy) and lifetime value tracking. Its Plus plan lets customers earn and spend rewards across affiliated brands, so a group running several Shopify Plus stores can run one program across all of them.
Features that matter
- Checkout extensions (Shopify Plus): points redemption at checkout is on every paid plan, limited to Shopify Plus stores.
- API access: API and headless API access come on Classic, the entry paid plan.
- VIP tiers: VIP and conditional tiers are an add-on on Classic and included from Advanced.
- Shopify POS support: Classic covers one POS location, and Advanced adds multiple locations.
- Integrations: Advanced adds subscription integrations, with Klaviyo events and LoyaltyLion Flows as optional add-ons.
- Translation: Advanced adds multilingual translation in 130+ languages for stores selling in several markets.
Where it wins
- API and headless access start on the entry Classic plan.
- The Plus plan shares one rewards program across affiliated brands.
- RFM and lifetime value reports come on every paid plan.
Watch out for
- VIP tiers are an add-on on Classic and included from Advanced, a quoted plan.
- Advanced and Plus plan prices are quoted, with no public rate card.
- LoyaltyLion reviews your plan once orders run 25% over your threshold for three months.
Cost at your volume
- Classic: from $199/mo for 500 orders, estimated ~$399/mo for 2,000.
- Advanced: custom, estimated ~$729/mo for 4,000 orders.
- Plus plan: custom, estimated ~$1,650/mo for 10,000+ orders.
Estimates are based on LoyaltyLion’s published FAQ pricing, as reported in April 2026.
Why it ranks here
LoyaltyLion beats Joy for groups because its shared multi-brand program has no equal on this list. It trails Smile and Love Loyalty because that plan is quoted, with an estimated cost at 10,000 orders of about four times Love Loyalty’s.
4. Joy
Rating: 4.9 (1,791 reviews, as of 21 Oct 2026) | Price: $29–$499/mo | Free trial: 14 days
Who it’s for
Joy is best for headless and multi-store brands under 17,000 orders. It’s for Shopify Plus brands with developers on staff. Its Ultimate plan adds Hydrogen headless support and multi-store support on a published price. Shopify Plus stores can buy Ultimate at $499/mo up to 17,000 orders a month, so a headless build doesn’t need a sales call.
Features that matter
- Checkout extensions (Shopify Plus): checkout redemption is on Ultimate only, and only for Shopify Plus stores.
- API access: APIs and webhooks come on Ultimate, alongside Hydrogen headless and multi-store support.
- Paid memberships: paid membership tiers start on Advanced at $129/mo, along with B2B tier systems.
- Apple and Google Wallet passes: wallet passes and redeem-in-cart-drawer also arrive on Advanced.
- Shopify POS support: the POS extension starts on Advanced at $129/mo.
- Points expiration: Ultimate adds dynamic point expiration on top of the standard expiry from Essential.
Where it wins
- Ultimate includes 7,000 orders, with overage at $5 per extra 100.
- Hydrogen and multi-store support sit on a published $499/mo plan.
- Paid memberships and B2B tiers start on Advanced at $129/mo.
Watch out for
- Checkout extensions and API access start on Ultimate at $499/mo.
- Stores above 17,000 orders a month move to a custom plan.
Cost at your volume
- Advanced: $129/mo for 2,000 orders, plus $10 per extra 100 orders.
- Ultimate: $499/mo for 7,000 orders, plus $5 per extra 100 orders.
- Custom: quoted pricing for stores above 17,000 orders a month.
Why it ranks here
Joy is the only app here with headless and multi-store support on a published plan, and the second-cheapest route to checkout plus API between 2,000 and 10,000 orders. LoyaltyLion ranks above Joy because its shared multi-brand program solves a problem no other app here does, even though Joy costs less for single-store Shopify Plus brands. Joy also beats Growave on price at every volume up to 10,000 orders.
5. Growave
Rating: 4.8 (1,290 reviews, as of 21 Oct 2026) | Price: $15–$999/mo | Free trial: Not published
Who it’s for
Growave is best for stores replacing separate reviews and wishlist apps. It bundles loyalty with product reviews and a wishlist in one app. A Shopify Plus store paying for three tools can cancel two of them and keep the data in one admin. The Plus plan and Unlimited plan add a developer toolkit and a customer success manager.
Features that matter
- Checkout extensions (Shopify Plus): loyalty and featured-review checkout extensions start on the Plus plan at $499/mo.
- API access: the Plus plan adds a REST API, JavaScript SDK, metafields and webhooks.
- VIP tiers: VIP tiers, points expiration and store credit start on Growth at $199/mo.
- Shopify POS support: Shopify POS integration is included on every Growave plan.
- Integrations: the Plus plan allows unlimited integrations, including Klaviyo, Attentive, Recharge and Gorgias.
- Customization: the Plus plan adds a custom-designed loyalty page and custom ways to earn.
Where it wins
- Unlimited at $999/mo removes order caps for high-volume stores.
- Reviews, wishlist and loyalty share one bill and one admin.
- The Plus plan includes 24/7 phone support and a dedicated launch plan.
Watch out for
- Checkout extensions and API access start on the Plus plan at $499/mo.
- The Plus plan includes 3,000 orders, then charges $10 per extra 100.
- Custom integrations need the Unlimited plan at $999/mo.
Cost at your volume
- Growth: $199/mo for 1,500 orders, plus $15 per extra 100 orders.
- Plus plan: $499/mo for 3,000 orders, plus $10 per extra 100 orders.
- Unlimited: $999/mo with no order limit and an enterprise success manager.
Why it ranks here
On loyalty cost alone, Growave trails Love Loyalty and Joy at every volume. It ranks above Yotpo and Okendo because its bundle can save more than that gap for stores already paying for separate reviews and wishlist apps.
6. Yotpo
Rating: 4.7 (970 reviews, as of 21 Oct 2026) | Price: $199–$599/mo | Free trial: Not published
Who it’s for
Yotpo is best for brands already running Yotpo Reviews. It’s for brands that want one vendor for reviews and loyalty. Pro pricing is published by monthly order band, from 500 to 5,000 orders, so mid-size stores can budget without a call. The Enterprise plan adds a cross-brand program for groups selling across markets.
Features that matter
- Checkout extensions (Shopify Plus): a checkout dropdown for redeeming rewards is included from Pro.
- Points program: Pro rewards photo and video reviews, SMS sign-ups and social follows with points.
- VIP tiers: VIP tiers and the VIP tiers module need the custom Premium plan.
- Shopify POS support: Shopify POS works on every Yotpo plan, including the free one.
- Integrations: Klaviyo and Recharge connect on every plan, with webhooks from Pro.
- Redemption: free product, free shipping and gift card rewards need Premium.
Where it wins
- Pro prices are published for each band from 500 to 5,000 orders.
- Customers earn points for photo and video reviews through Yotpo Reviews.
- Shopify POS works on every plan, the free one included.
Watch out for
- VIP tiers need Premium, a custom-quoted plan.
- Pro support is email and an AI chatbot, with live chat starting on Premium.
- Above 5,000 orders a month, pricing moves to a custom quote.
Cost at your volume
- Pro (2,000 orders): from $399/mo, with checkout redemption and webhooks.
- Pro (5,000 orders): from $599/mo, the top published band.
- Premium: custom quote, adding VIP tiers and a customer success manager.
Why it ranks here
Yotpo Pro ties Love Loyalty at 2,000 orders, but VIP tiers sit on a quoted plan, so the published prices don’t cover a tiered program. It ranks above Okendo because Yotpo pairs checkout and webhooks at $399/mo, while Okendo leaves webhooks until its $999 Advanced plan. Brands weighing a switch can compare Yotpo Loyalty alternatives.
7. Okendo
Rating: 4.8 (1,434 reviews, as of 21 Oct 2026) | Price: $99–$999/mo | Free trial: Not published
Who it’s for
Okendo is best for brands consolidating reviews and loyalty on Okendo. It sells loyalty as its own product next to its reviews tools, priced by monthly orders. Every loyalty feature, checkout extensions included, comes on every plan. So the plan you need depends only on your order volume and whether your developers need the API.
Features that matter
- Checkout extensions (Shopify Plus): checkout extensions are on every plan, starting with Essentials at $99/mo.
- VIP tiers: VIP tiers, points multipliers and exclusive perks are included on every plan.
- Redemption: customers redeem points for coupons, free products, free shipping or store credit on every plan.
- Shopify POS support: Shopify POS and Shopify Flow integrations come on every plan.
- API access: API, webhooks and headless support are paid add-ons below Advanced, and included from Advanced at $999/mo.
Where it wins
- Core loyalty features have no plan gates, from Essentials to Enterprise.
- Brands on Okendo Reviews keep reviews and loyalty with one vendor.
- Okendo bills no overage, and stores past their cap buy a one-time top-up.
Watch out for
- API access is a paid add-on below Advanced at $999/mo.
- Growth covers 1,500 orders, so stores above that need Power at $699/mo.
- Loyalty plans aren’t on the App Store listing and are bought through Okendo.
Cost at your volume
- Growth: $299/mo for up to 1,500 orders.
- Power: $699/mo for up to 3,500 orders.
- Advanced: $999/mo for up to 10,000 orders, with API and headless included.
Why it ranks here
Okendo is the only app here with no plan gates on loyalty features, and it has the lowest entry price for checkout extensions. API access waits until $999/mo, which puts it behind the six apps above for stores that need one. It’s the right buy when your reviews already run on Okendo.
Also considered
- BON: BON has unlimited orders, VIP tiers and B2B tiers on its Growth plan at $129/mo. Checkout redemption works for Shopify Plus stores on every plan. It missed the main list because API access and its SDK sit on the custom Plus plan.
- Rivo: Rivo’s App Store listing shows a $499/mo Plus plan with checkout extensions and a developer toolkit for 2,500 orders. Its own pricing page no longer lists those loyalty tiers, so we couldn’t confirm what a new Shopify Plus store pays.
- Toki: Toki runs one loyalty program across several stores and includes wallet passes from $49/mo. Every plan charges $0.15 per order past its cap, which puts the Power plan at $1,349/mo at 10,000 orders.
- Appstle: Appstle includes APIs and webhooks on its $300/mo Enterprise plan for 20,000 orders. Checkout redemption isn’t in its website feature table, so we couldn’t confirm which plan it needs.
- Stamped: Stamped sells standalone loyalty at $299/mo for 5,000 orders. It has no public feature table, so we couldn’t check its Shopify Plus features.
Best loyalty app for Shopify Plus by monthly order volume
The table prices each app’s plan with checkout redemption and API access at four Shopify Plus volumes, overage included.
| App | 2,000 orders | 5,000 orders | 10,000 orders | 25,000 orders |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Love Loyalty Rewards Program | $399 (Plus plan) | $399 | $399 | $399 |
| Smile: Loyalty Program Rewards | $999 (Plus plan) | $999 | $1,124 | $1,874 |
| LoyaltyLion Loyalty Program | ~$399 (Classic, estimated) | ~$729 (Advanced, estimated) | ~$1,650 (Plus plan, estimated) | Custom |
| Joy Loyalty Program Rewards | $499 (Ultimate) | $499 | $649 | Custom |
| Growave: Loyalty & Wishlist | $499 (Plus plan) | $699 | $999 (Unlimited) | $999 |
| Yotpo: Loyalty Rewards Program | $399 (Pro) | $599 | Custom | Custom |
| Okendo: Reviews & Loyalty | $699 (Power) plus API add-on | $999 (Advanced) | $999 | Custom |
Yotpo’s figures are for Pro, which excludes VIP tiers. Okendo’s Power plan needs an API add-on whose price isn’t published. LoyaltyLion’s figures are estimates based on its published FAQ pricing, as reported in April 2026.
Love Loyalty is the lowest cost at every volume from 5,000 orders up, and it ties Yotpo Pro at 2,000. Growave’s Unlimited plan becomes cheaper than its Plus plan with overage at 8,000 orders. Smile’s overage starts at 7,500 orders, and Joy moves to custom pricing above 17,000. For entry plans and smaller volumes, see our Shopify loyalty app pricing comparison.
Bottom line
The more a store sells, the further ahead Love Loyalty gets, because its checkout and API plan costs the same at 25,000 orders as at 2,000. The trade-off is a smaller review base, with 384 reviews against Smile’s 4,629.

Frequently asked questions
What is the best loyalty app for Shopify Plus?
Love Loyalty is the best value for most Shopify Plus stores, with checkout extensions and API access on its Plus plan. Smile fits brands that need SOC 2 compliance for a security review. LoyaltyLion fits groups that share one rewards program across several brands.
Can customers redeem loyalty points at checkout on Shopify Plus?
Yes, through a loyalty app’s checkout extension, on the plan that includes it. Okendo includes it from $99/mo and Smile from its Growth plan at $199/mo. Love Loyalty, Joy and Growave put it on plans costing $399 to $499 a month, so check the plan before comparing prices.
Does Shopify have a built-in loyalty program for Plus stores?
Shopify has no built-in points program for Shopify Plus stores, so you need a loyalty app for points, VIP tiers or referrals. Shopify does include native store credit and customer accounts. Smile and Joy both show points inside those customer accounts, so members see their balance where they already sign in.
How much does a loyalty program cost for a Shopify Plus store?
Expect $399 to roughly $1,650 a month at 10,000 orders for a plan with checkout redemption and API access. At that volume, Love Loyalty costs $399, Joy $649, Growave and Okendo $999, and Smile $1,124 with overage. LoyaltyLion is quoted, estimated ~$1,650 a month based on its published FAQ pricing, as reported in April 2026.
Can I switch loyalty apps without losing customers’ points?
Yes, if you import customers and point balances into the new app before uninstalling the old one. Export members, balances and VIP tiers from the old app as a CSV, import them into the new app, then spot-check a few accounts. Keep the new app’s widgets hidden until the balances match.
What should I test before launching a loyalty app on Shopify Plus?
Install the app on a development store and test checkout redemption on a Shopify Plus checkout first. Then check points earning, POS redemption if you sell in stores, and the Klaviyo or Flow events you plan to use. Before signing, ask the vendor what triggers an upgrade or overage charge.
