Love Loyalty went live on the Shopify App Store on 24 October 2024. Two years later it holds 5.0 stars from 412 reviews and puts paid memberships, VIP tiers, B2B loyalty and wallet passes on a single $79 plan. That is aggressive pricing for that feature set. Merchants who go looking for apps like Love Loyalty are usually chasing something at the edges of loyalty, like native product reviews or deeper retention reporting. Seven apps are worth a look, and none of them wins on every count. This guide says where each one loses.

Key highlights: the best Love Loyalty alternatives

Rivo is the closest Love Loyalty replacement. It is the only alternative here with both native paid memberships and wallet passes, and VIP tiers start at $49 a month.

Growave is the only option that also retires a reviews app and a wishlist app, starting at $15 a month, with native Apple and Google Wallet passes from $199.

Joy matches Love Loyalty almost feature for feature but gates memberships, wallet passes, B2B tiers and its POS extension at $129 a month, against $79 on Love Loyalty’s Growth plan.

What Love Loyalty Rewards does well

The App Store listing, checked 27 October 2026, puts more into the middle tier than most apps in this category do.

Points redemption inside the cart in two steps, with no popup, which merchants single out repeatedly in reviews

15+ storefront touchpoints, including points on the product page

Shopify POS support for in-store purchases from the $12 Professional plan

Paid memberships with a 1.8% transaction fee, VIP tiers, B2B loyalty by customer segment, bonus campaigns and Apple and Google Wallet passes, all on Growth at $79

Checkout extensions and API access on Plus at $399, with no Shopify Plus requirement

Built for Shopify badge, built on metafields and app extensions with no iframes

Shopify Flow, Klaviyo, Judge.me and 30+ integrations

Why merchants consider Love Loyalty alternatives

The review record here is unusually clean. Of 412 ratings, 99% are five stars, and not one is a one-star. There is no complaint pattern to report, so the honest reasons to look at Love Loyalty competitors are about product shape and company age.

1. You want reviews, UGC or wishlists in the same app

Love Loyalty is a loyalty app and nothing else. It connects to Judge.me and Loox for reviews. If you are paying separately for reviews and a wishlist, a suite app collapses three bills into one.

2. You need segmentation and retention reporting, not program reporting

Love Loyalty’s analytics start on Professional and tell you how the program is doing. LoyaltyLion ships RFM data, customer lifetime value and customer activity reporting on every tier, plus custom on-site and off-site earning activities you define yourself.

3. Your store sells in several languages

The Love Loyalty App Store listing is published in English only. BON Loyalty auto-translates ten languages and lets you hand-enter the rest, available from its $29 Basic plan.

4. You want a longer track record

Smile.io has been listed since December 2014 and carries 4,647 reviews. Growave and LoyaltyLion both date to July 2014. Love Loyalty is barely two years old, publishes no public changelog, and one merchant in a June 2026 review said they got too little warning about app changes.

How we picked these seven alternatives

Feature counts are useless here, because Love Loyalty already has most of the features. Five questions separate the alternatives.

Parity at price: Which plan actually unlocks memberships, tiers and wallet passes, and what does that plan cost?

Ecosystem: How many integrations, how long on the App Store, is there a published changelog?

Analytics: Does the app report on repeat purchase behaviour and lifetime value, or only on points issued?

Surface coverage: Where do points appear on the storefront, and which plan unlocks POS and checkout?

Maturity: Review volume, launch date and support record.

No app below beats Love Loyalty on all five.

Top 7 Love Loyalty alternatives compared

All figures verified on official pricing pages and App Store listings, 27 October 2026.

App

Starting paid plan

Paid memberships

Wallet passes

VIP tiers from

POS from

Best fit

Love Loyalty

$12

Growth $79, 1.8% fee

Growth $79

$79

$12

Broad loyalty in one app

Rivo

$15

Plus $499 and up

Native, from Plus

$49

$15

Closest replacement

Smile.io

$15

Not offered

Novel integration only

$199

Free plan

Simplicity

Joy

$29

Advanced $129

Advanced $129

$129

$129

Gamification

BON Loyalty

$15

Not offered

Not offered

$129

$29

Budget and localisation

Growave

$15

Not offered natively

Growth $199, native

$199

$15

Loyalty plus reviews

LoyaltyLion

Quoted from $199

Not offered

Novel integration

Classic add-on

Classic, single location

Analytics

Yotpo Loyalty

$199

Not offered

Not offered natively

Premium (custom)

Pro

Existing Yotpo stack

Read down the memberships and wallet columns and the field thins out fast. Only Rivo and Joy replace Love Loyalty without dropping a feature. Everything else asks you to give something up in exchange for what it does better. The pricing maths across store sizes is in our Shopify loyalty app pricing comparison, and the wider field is ranked in the best Shopify loyalty apps guide.

Rivo: closest Shopify-native alternative

What it does: Rivo has been on the App Store since January 2021 and holds 4.7 stars from 1,441 reviews. The free plan covers 200 orders. Essential at $15 adds Shopify POS and the product-page theme extension. Scale at $49 brings VIP tiers, points expiry and bonus campaigns, with overage at $20 per extra 100 orders capped at $499. Plus at $499 adds checkout extensions and the developer toolkit. Memberships run on Shopify Payments and do not need Shopify Plus. The Spring 2026 release added cashback, punch cards and a merchant MCP server.

Where Love Loyalty still wins: B2B loyalty by customer segment, which Rivo does not publish. Support consistency is the other gap. Slow responses and settings that fail to save are the repeated theme across Rivo’s 27 one-star reviews, which is worth weighing given that support is what Love Loyalty reviewers praise most.

Best for: Stores that want memberships and wallet passes kept intact, plus a deeper developer surface and five years of shipping history.

One note on pricing. Rivo’s own pricing page no longer shows the Free or Essential plans and quotes a seven-day trial, while the App Store listing still shows both plans and a 14-day trial. The figures above follow the App Store.

Smile.io: best for simplicity and familiarity

What it does: Smile is the default in this category and has the numbers to show for it, with 4.9 stars from 4,647 reviews since December 2014. Shopify POS works on the free plan at 200 orders. Paid tiers run Essential $15, Standard $79, Growth $199 and Plus at $999 billed annually. Klaviyo Customer Hub support is included from Essential, and the report library scales from 10 prebuilt reports on free to 30+ on Plus. SOC-2 compliance and a front-end JavaScript SDK arrive on Plus.

Where Love Loyalty still wins: Price for the same capability. VIP tiers cost $199 on Smile against $79 on Love Loyalty. Smile has no paid memberships at all, and wallet passes are only available through the third-party Novel integration. Checkout redemption also waits until Growth at $199.

Best for: Merchants who want the best-documented points program on Shopify and have no need for memberships or wallet passes. If you are weighing Smile from the other direction, our Smile.io alternatives guide covers that switch.

Joy: best for wallets, gamification and social earning

What it does: Joy holds 4.9 stars from 1,788 reviews since June 2021. Starter is free to 250 orders, then Essential $29, Advanced $129 and Ultimate $499, with the overage rate falling from $15 to $5 per 100 orders as you climb. Advanced is the interesting tier. It carries paid memberships, wallet passes, B2B tiers, the POS extension, cart-drawer redemption, milestone rewards, a rule engine and social earning actions on Instagram, TikTok and Facebook.

Where Love Loyalty still wins: The price of that bundle.

Feature

Love Loyalty

Joy

Paid memberships

Growth, $79

Advanced, $129

Wallet passes

Growth, $79

Advanced, $129

B2B tiers

Growth, $79

Advanced, $129

Shopify POS

Professional, $12

Advanced, $129

Best for: Stores that want social earning actions and a rule engine badly enough to pay $50 a month more for the same core features.

BON Loyalty: best for budget and international stores

What it does: BON has 5.0 stars from 1,965 reviews since August 2021, the largest review count of any five-star app in this comparison. Free covers 150 orders. Starter is $15 for 300 orders, Basic $29 for 500 or $27 a month annually, and Growth $129 for unlimited orders or $103 a month annually. POS support starts at $29. Ten languages translate automatically, with manual entry for anything else. BON launched its B2B tier program on 4 November 2025 and added daily check-in and anniversary points in June 2026.

Where Love Loyalty still wins: BON publishes no paid memberships and no wallet passes on any plan. VIP tiers cost $129 against $79. Two add-ons bill on top, at $50 a month for collection-specific points and $10 a month for tag exclusion.

Best for: Multi-language stores that want unlimited orders for $103 a month and do not run memberships. Smaller stores should also check the best free Shopify loyalty apps roundup, since BON’s free tier is one of the better ones.

Growave: best for loyalty plus reviews and wishlists

What it does: Growave has 4.8 stars from 1,289 reviews and has been listed since July 2014. Entry is $15 for 500 orders, Growth $199 for 1,500, Plus $499 for 3,000 and Unlimited $999. One subscription covers loyalty, photo reviews with Q&A and rich snippets, wishlists with back-in-stock and on-sale emails, plus a gift registry. Apple and Google Wallet passes are native from the Growth plan, and the pass carries a Loyalty QR code for POS lookups.

Where Love Loyalty still wins: Paid memberships, which Growave does not publish and which merchants reach through an Appstle integration. VIP tiers and points expiry both wait until $199. Overage on Entry runs $20 per 100 orders, which is the steepest rate in this comparison.

Best for: Stores currently paying for a separate reviews app and a wishlist app. Add those two bills to a loyalty bill and Growth at $199 often comes out ahead.

LoyaltyLion: best for analytics and segmentation

What it does: LoyaltyLion holds 4.7 stars from 543 reviews since July 2014, the lowest rating and smallest review count here, which reflects a heavier product aimed at larger stores. The free plan covers 400 orders. Classic is quoted from $199, with Advanced and Plus above it. Every tier includes RFM data, customer lifetime value, retention and referral analytics and sales channel exports. You can build custom on-site, off-site and receipt-upload earning activities. Translation across 130+ languages arrives on Advanced.

Where Love Loyalty still wins: Checkout redemption is restricted to Shopify Plus stores on every LoyaltyLion tier, while Love Loyalty ships checkout extensions on its $399 Plus plan to any store. POS is single-location on Classic. VIP tiers are a paid add-on at that tier. There are no paid memberships, and wallet passes come through Novel.

Best for: Stores past 2,000 orders a month with an analyst or agency who will act on the retention data.

Yotpo Loyalty: best inside a wider retention stack

What it does: Yotpo Loyalty has 4.7 stars from 969 reviews since July 2015. The free plan covers under 100 monthly orders. Pro is $199, after which billing shifts to roughly $0.08 to $0.20 per order above 500. You get points, referrals and 20+ campaign types, sharing a customer record with Yotpo Reviews, SMS and email, with VIP tiers arriving on Premium at a custom quote.

Where Love Loyalty still wins: Cost at small and mid volume. Yotpo’s entry paid tier is $199 against Love Loyalty’s $12, and the gap only closes if you are consolidating several Yotpo products. No paid memberships and no native wallet passes.

Best for: Brands already running Yotpo Reviews or Yotpo SMS who want one vendor, one invoice and one customer data layer.

How to migrate from Love Loyalty

Three groups, and the third one catches people out.

Point balances, customer email identifiers and current VIP tier assignments move by CSV export and import. Smile publishes a switch-to guide, Rivo publishes an import article, and Love Loyalty runs a help-centre category for importing points from other apps, which tells you the format it exports in.

Earning rules, point values, redemption options, storefront placements, widget styling, email templates, referral link structure, wallet pass design and Shopify Flow triggers all have to be rebuilt by hand. Budget a day for this, more if you run several placements.

Nothing carries over for active paid-membership billing, B2B company-level balances or POS transaction history. Members have to re-subscribe on the new app, which is the single biggest reason to stay put if memberships are live. Referral links your customers have already shared will break.

Sequence it like this. Export balances before you cancel. Keep both apps installed for 48 hours with earning switched off on the old one so nobody earns twice. Check ten sample accounts against the export before you pull the old widget.

Who should stay with Love Loyalty

Six situations where switching costs more than it returns.

You run paid memberships. The nearest equivalent is Joy at $129, and migrating means asking every member to re-subscribe.

You use Shopify POS. At $12, this is the cheapest POS entry point of any app here apart from Smile’s free plan.

You run a B2B program that needs company or location-level point balances. Only BON also publishes this, and its version arrived in November 2025.

You issue Apple and Google Wallet passes and pay under $199 a month. Growave is the only native alternative and it starts at $199.

Your customers redeem in the cart. Two-step cart redemption without a popup is the feature reviewers name most often.

You would otherwise be running a loyalty app, a memberships app and a wallet app side by side.

Final verdict

Below roughly 2,000 orders a month with memberships running, nothing here undercuts Love Loyalty’s $79 Growth plan on features per dollar, and the honest case for moving is about what sits around loyalty rather than loyalty itself. Above that volume, or if you need retention analytics or a reviews product, the calculation changes.

Rivo for the closest Shopify-native replacement with memberships intact

Smile.io for simplicity and the longest track record

Joy for social earning actions and a rule engine

BON Loyalty for multi-language stores on a budget

Growave for retiring a reviews app and a wishlist app at the same time

LoyaltyLion for retention analytics and segmentation

Yotpo for brands already inside the Yotpo stack

Stay with Love Loyalty for memberships, POS, wallet passes, B2B and cart redemption

Stores under 500 orders a month have a shorter shortlist, covered in our loyalty apps for small Shopify stores guide.

FAQs

What is the best Love Loyalty alternative?

Rivo, for most stores. It is the only app that matches Love Loyalty on both paid memberships and wallet passes, and it has been on the App Store since January 2021 with 1,441 reviews. Its weak point is support response time.

Which alternative supports paid memberships?

Rivo on Plus at $499 and above, and Joy on Advanced at $129 a month. Smile.io, LoyaltyLion, BON Loyalty and Yotpo Loyalty publish no paid membership feature. Growave merchants reach memberships through an Appstle integration. Our VIP tier app guide ranks the plans that gate them.

Which Love Loyalty alternative supports POS?

Six of the seven. Smile.io includes Shopify POS on its free plan, Rivo from $15, Growave from $15, BON Loyalty from $29 and Joy from $129. LoyaltyLion supports a single POS location on Classic and multiple locations on Advanced.

Can Love Loyalty data be migrated?

Point balances, customer identifiers and VIP tier assignments export to CSV and import into most alternatives. Active membership billing, B2B company-level balances and POS history do not transfer. Earning rules and storefront placements have to be rebuilt.

Is Love Loyalty better than Smile.io?

They win different things. Love Loyalty gives you VIP tiers at $79 against Smile’s $199, plus memberships and wallet passes that Smile does not have. Smile has 4,647 reviews across twelve years, a larger integration library and free Shopify POS. Our Smile.io vs Love Loyalty comparison runs the two side by side.

Which alternative has the best analytics?

LoyaltyLion. RFM data, customer lifetime value and customer activity reporting are on every tier, including the free plan, and repeat purchase and drop-off rates arrive on Plus. Pricing is quoted and starts around $199 a month.

Which alternative combines loyalty with reviews?

Growave, which bundles photo reviews, Q&A, wishlists and a gift registry with its loyalty program from $15 a month. Yotpo Loyalty also pairs with Yotpo Reviews, though as two products on one platform with separate billing.

Growave bundles loyalty, reviews and wishlist. Here are 7 alternatives, exact cost at order volumes, and the point where unbundling starts paying.

Growave is a smaller product in 2026 than its reputation suggests. Social Login was discontinued across every version, and merchants were pointed at Shopify’s new customer accounts or a third-party app. Instagram UGC moved out into a separate Shopify app that starts at $9 a month. Growave 1.0 shut down on 31 December 2025, and the listing now reads “Growave: Loyalty & Wishlist”. What one bill still covers is loyalty, reviews, wishlist and Q&A.

That changes the switching maths. Two routes exist. Move to another all-in-one, or unbundle into specialists. Love Loyalty is the strongest loyalty-module replacement in this list, and it will not touch your reviews or wishlist. The Shopify loyalty app pricing comparison has the plan-by-plan detail, and our Growave review covers the product as it stands today.

Key highlights: the best Growave alternatives

Unbundling Growave costs more than keeping it below roughly 1,000 orders a month. A Love Loyalty, Judge.me and Swym stack runs about $57 a month. Growave Entry is $15 for 500 orders, and its $20-per-100 overage is what flips the comparison just past 1,000 orders.

Love Loyalty covers 2,000 orders a month at $79. Growave Growth costs $274 at the same volume once overage is counted, and it replaces loyalty only.

Growave publishes no AI review features as of October 2026. Judge.me includes AI summaries and AI-drafted replies on a $15 flat plan, and Okendo gates AI Review Summaries and AI Review Keywords on its paid tiers.

Why merchants look for a Growave alternative

They only use the loyalty module

Growave bills the whole bundle whatever you switch on. At 2,000 orders a month, Growth works out to $274 once overage is added. Love Loyalty covers the same volume for $79. If reviews and wishlist sit unused in your admin, that difference is roughly $195 a month for dashboards nobody opens.

They need deeper functionality in one module

Reviews is where the gap shows. Growave’s reviews documentation covers translation, filtering and owner replies, with nothing AI-driven attached to them. Judge.me bundles AI snippets, summaries and responses into its $15 plan, and Okendo sells AI review analysis as a paid feature.

They prefer specialist apps

The Social Login removal is the cleanest example. Merchants who bought Growave to cut app count had to add an app back, either Shopify’s native customer accounts or something like Oxi Social Login. Consolidation holds only while the vendor keeps every module alive.

They want a different pricing or support model

Entry is $15 for 500 orders, then $20 for every extra 100. That is the steepest overage rate on the ladder, and it sits on the cheapest plan. A store doing 1,200 orders pays $155 on Entry. The next plan up is $199, and it includes 1,500. Our research on what loyalty apps cost at scale shows the same overage trap across 12 apps.

They are evaluating app count, storefront complexity, and performance

Uninstall residue is a documented problem. Munchyhub, a UK merchant writing on the Shopify App Store on 31 December 2025, reported 20 to 30 metafields and metaobjects left behind after removing the app, and said cleanup needed a Shopify escalation. If you run a small Shopify store under 500 orders a month, that cleanup is your own weekend. Storefront weight is the other half of that question, and our test of eight loyalty widgets on one theme measured it.

Who should stay with Growave

Growave is 4.8 across 1,289 Shopify reviews, with 93% at five stars. It is a well-liked app, and switching away from it is wrong for plenty of stores.

You are under 200 orders a month. Growave runs a free plan at 200 orders a month, capped at 500 orders in total, and it includes basic loyalty, wishlist and reviews. That is the cheapest way to run all three modules, and nothing on this page undercuts it. Once the cap is hit the widgets stop and you move to Entry at $15.

You actively run loyalty, reviews and wishlist. Below about 1,000 orders a month, the bundle is the cheaper build by a wide margin.

You want one dashboard and one support contact. Splitting into three apps means three vendors when something breaks on a Friday.

Review activity feeds loyalty points in your program. Inside Growave that is one setting. Across two apps it becomes a Klaviyo or Shopify Flow job.

You are on Shopify Plus and already using Growave checkout extensions on the $499 Plus tier.

How we picked these 7 alternatives

Ranking loyalty apps by feature count tells a Growave user nothing, because the question here is which parts of a bundle you are willing to give up. Five things separated these apps.

Modules replaced. Loyalty only, loyalty plus reviews, or reviews only.

Cost at your real volume. Sticker price matters less than the overage rate above it.

Migration risk. What exports cleanly out of Growave, and what does not.

Feature gates. Which plan unlocks VIP tiers, POS, wallet passes and checkout redemption, which our VIP tier app guide ranks plan by plan.

Support model. Chat, onboarding, named account manager.

No single app on this list replaces all of Growave. That is why the unbundling section exists further down, and why the ranking mixes loyalty apps with review apps.

Top 7 Growave alternatives for loyalty apps compared

#

App

Starting price

Replaces

Main advantage

Best fit

1

Love Loyalty

$12/mo, 500 orders

Loyalty

Memberships, POS, wallet passes, B2B

Loyalty-only switchers

2

Joy

$29/mo, 500 orders

Loyalty

Gamification, social rewards, rule engine

Engagement-led programs

3

Smile.io

$15/mo, 500 orders

Loyalty

Fastest clean launch

Teams that want it live this week

4

Appstle Loyalty

$10/mo, 500 orders

Loyalty

$30 covers 2,000 orders

Cost-led switchers

5

Rivo

$15/mo, 500 orders

Loyalty

Theme extensions, developer toolkit

Shopify-native builds

6

Okendo

$99/mo, 200 orders

Reviews and loyalty

AI review summaries and keywords

Reviews-first stores

7

Judge.me

$15/mo flat

Reviews

Price never scales with orders

The reviews-module swap

All pricing verified 27 October 2026. Okendo’s loyalty module starts at $99; the $19 and $119 tiers merchants quote for Okendo are its reviews plans and do not include it. Two of the seven start below the $10 mark: Growave is free to 200 orders a month, capped at 500 in total, and Appstle Loyalty is free to 250.

1. Love Loyalty — best for replacing Growave’s loyalty module

Love Loyalty is a loyalty app and nothing else. Reviews and wishlist stay where they are, which makes this a partial replacement by design. It launched in October 2024 from 2023 Projects and sits at 5.0 across 412 Shopify reviews, the smallest review base among the loyalty apps here and the highest score.

Why Love Loyalty is a better fit

Growth is $79 a month for 2,000 orders and opens paid memberships at a 1.8% transaction fee, VIP tiers, B2B loyalty by customer segment, bonus campaigns and Apple and Google Wallet passes. Professional at $12 already includes POS earn and redeem plus 30+ integrations. Cart redemption is a two-step flow on every plan. If you want that measured against the category incumbent, our Smile.io vs Love Loyalty comparison runs it side by side.

Where Growave still wins

Reviews, Q&A and wishlist. Growave also keeps review requests and point awards inside one automation, which you rebuild through Klaviyo or Shopify Flow after splitting.

Best for

Merchants whose Growave usage is mostly loyalty and who want membership or POS depth the bundle never reached.

2. Joy — best for wallets, memberships and gamification

Joy has the widest engagement surface of the loyalty-only apps here, at 4.9 across 1,788 reviews.

Why Joy is a better fit

Advanced at $129 covers 2,000 orders and unlocks VIP tiers, B2B tiers, paid membership, milestone rewards, a rule engine, POS extension and wallet passes. Social rewards for Instagram, TikTok and Facebook sit on the same tier. The overage rate falls as you scale, from $15 per 100 orders on Essential down to $5 per 100 on Ultimate, which is unusual and works in your favour above 5,000 orders.

Where Growave still wins

Price at the bottom of the ladder. Joy’s first paid tier is $29 against Growave’s $15, and Joy carries no reviews or wishlist at any price. Checkout extensions need Ultimate at $499 and Shopify Plus, two conditions stacked.

Best for

Programs built on engagement actions and paid membership, where points for purchase alone has stopped moving repeat rate.

3. Smile.io — best for the simplest loyalty-only launch

Smile is the least surprising choice on this list, which is rather the point of it.

Why Smile.io is a better fit

Essential is $15 for 500 orders. Standard at $79 covers 1,000 and adds points on product pages plus thank-you page embeds. Native Shopify POS support is on every plan. Setup is the fastest here, and the reporting library starts at 15 pre-built reports on Essential.

Where Growave still wins

Smile’s gates arrive early. VIP tiers, points expiration and checkout redemption all start at Growth, which is $199 for 2,500 orders. Integrations are metered as well, one on Essential and two on Standard, which stings for a merchant leaving a bundle that had Klaviyo, Gorgias and a page builder connected at once. The Smile.io vs Growave comparison covers that trade in full.

Best for

Teams that want a working program this week and will accept a narrower feature set to get it.

4. Appstle Loyalty & Rewards — best for the lowest cost per order

Appstle Loyalty is the cheapest credible exit from Growave, at 5.0 across 1,450 reviews.

Why Appstle Loyalty is a better fit

Business is $30 a month for 2,000 orders. Growave Growth costs $274 at that volume. Business Premium at $100 covers 5,000 orders and adds checkout redemption for Shopify Plus stores. Starter at $10 already carries POS support and loyalty nudges, so the cheap tier is usable rather than decorative, and under 250 orders a month Appstle is free.

Where Growave still wins

The ceiling, though it is softer than it looks. Business Premium is the last self-serve tier on Appstle’s listing, and above 5,000 orders it meters rather than upgrades: the listing prices extra orders at $0.015 each, while Appstle’s own comparison material still quotes $0.05. Either way a 10,000-order store is paying something, and Growave publishes an Unlimited tier at $999 that you can budget against without a spread of published rates.

Best for

Cost-led switchers under 5,000 orders a month who want points, store credit, referrals and VIP tiers without paying for a reviews product.

5. Rivo — best for Shopify-native loyalty surfaces

Rivo is the awkward entry. The Shopify listing and the Rivo website describe different products at different prices, so check both before you commit to anything.

Why Rivo is a better fit

On the App Store, Essential is $15 for 500 orders with theme extensions, on-site prompts, POS support and two integrations. Rivo is 4.7 across 1,441 reviews. Loyalty renders through Shopify theme app extensions, so the widget behaves like part of the theme, and the developer toolkit plus checkout extensions sit on the top tier.

Where Growave still wins

Clarity. Rivo.io now sells Cashback from $199 a month and Accounts from $499, with loyalty, referrals and memberships folded into a custom plan. The App Store Scale tier lists 400 included orders, fewer than the $15 Essential plan beneath it, which reads like a listing error. Growave’s ladder is published and internally consistent.

Best for

Stores that want loyalty rendered natively in the theme and are willing to get pricing confirmed in writing first.

6. Okendo: Reviews & Loyalty — best for replacing reviews and loyalty together

Okendo is the closest thing here to a like-for-like Growave swap, because it covers two of the three modules in one account. It sits at 4.8 across 1,444 reviews.

Why Okendo is a better fit

Reviews is where it pulls ahead. AI Review Summaries and AI Review Keywords are gated on paid tiers, and AI sentiment plus assisted replies are part of the reviews product. Growth is $119 a month to 1,500 orders and Power is $299 to 3,500 on the reviews side, while the loyalty module is priced separately, from $99 at 200 orders to $999 at 10,000. Five modules exist in total, and the Retain bundle pairs reviews, loyalty and surveys at a 30% discount against buying them individually.

Where Growave still wins

Wishlist, Q&A and published pricing at scale. Above 3,500 orders Okendo quotes, with one-off top-up order credits as the alternative to upgrading. Growave’s $499 Plus covers 3,000 orders with a published $10 per 100 overage above that.

Best for

Stores where reviews drive more revenue than the loyalty program does, and where quizzes or post-purchase surveys are already on the roadmap.

7. Judge.me — best for replacing Growave Reviews on its own

Judge.me replaces one module and never gets more expensive.

Why Judge.me is a better fit

Fifteen dollars a month is the ceiling at any order volume. That buys unlimited product and store reviews, unlimited photo and video reviews, Google rich snippets, every integration and the AI tools Growave has not built. Judge.me is also SOC 2 Type 2 and ISO 27001 certified, which matters if your review data has to pass a security review.

Where Growave still wins

Judge.me is reviews only. No points, no wishlist, no Q&A inside the same app.

Best for

Any store unbundling Growave, because flat pricing is the thing that makes a specialist stack cheaper at volume.

Unbundling Growave into a specialist stack

The three-app replacement is Love Loyalty for the points program, Judge.me for reviews and Swym Wishlist Plus for the wishlist. Swym is the expensive piece, starting at $29.99 a month and billed on wishlist actions instead of orders, at 3,000 actions on Starter and 10,000 on Pro. Wishlist is the module with the fewest drop-in replacements, so price it first and work backwards. Q&A goes missing in this configuration, since Judge.me handles it on paid plans but Growave includes it everywhere.

Growave versus alternatives: total cost of ownership

Growave publishes Entry at $15 for 500 orders with $20 per extra 100, Growth at $199 for 1,500 with $15 per 100, Plus at $499 for 3,000 with $10 per 100, and Unlimited at $999 with no cap. Run that ladder out and four crossover points appear.

Entry to Growth pays off at about 1,400 orders a month, where Growth’s flat $199 undercuts Entry once overage pushes it past $215.

Growth to Plus at about 4,500 orders.

Plus to Unlimited at exactly 8,000 orders.

Growave against the three-app specialist stack flips just past 1,000 orders.

Monthly cost, all-in-one and loyalty-only replacements

Below 1,000 orders a month the bundle is the cheaper build and the decision is easy. Above it the stack wins, and the gap reaches $525 a month at 10,000 orders. Okendo bills on orders while Swym bills on wishlist actions, so the two tables are not directly addable. The full Shopify loyalty app pricing comparison carries every tier for the loyalty apps above.

How to migrate from Growave Loyalty

Export the rewards data before you do anything else. Growave sends CSV files by email covering customer ID, email, name, earned points, spent points, current balance, expired points, VIP tier, referral counts, active and issued reward codes, consent timestamps and birthdays. Download links expire after seven days, and reports default to the shop owner’s address.

Customer registration timestamps cannot be exported at all, so any anniversary reward has to be rebuilt from Shopify customer data. Reviews and wishlist export as separate CSVs, and review import and export is on every Growave plan including Entry. Most review apps accept that format directly, and our guide to moving loyalty points between Shopify apps covers importing points balances on the other side.

Run both apps in parallel for one billing cycle before you uninstall. After uninstalling, audit your metafields and metaobjects, because merchants have reported 20 to 30 left behind.

Final verdict

Three situations, three answers.

Under 1,000 orders a month using all three modules, stay on Growave, which is free below 200 orders and $15 on Entry to 500. Nothing here beats that price for loyalty plus reviews plus wishlist, and the switching cost is real.

Using loyalty only, move to Love Loyalty. It covers 2,000 orders at $79 against $274 on Growave, and it adds paid memberships, B2B segments and wallet passes that the bundle never had. Appstle Loyalty at $30 is the answer if cost is the only thing you are optimising.

Above 2,000 orders and using all three modules, unbundle. Love Loyalty plus Judge.me plus Swym runs $473.99 against $699 on Growave Plus, and the gap widens every month you grow.

FAQs

What is the best direct Growave alternative?

No single app replaces everything Growave does. Okendo is the closest all-in-one, because it covers reviews and loyalty in one account, though it has no wishlist. Love Loyalty is the closest on loyalty alone.

Does Growave have AI review features?

No. As of October 2026, Growave’s reviews product documents translation, filtering and owner replies, with no AI summaries, keyword extraction or drafted responses. Judge.me includes all three at $15 a month, and Okendo gates AI Review Summaries and AI Review Keywords on its paid tiers.

Can I replace only Growave loyalty?

Yes, and it is the most common switch. Export your rewards CSV, install the replacement, import points and VIP tiers, then turn the Growave loyalty widget off while keeping reviews and wishlist running. Your Growave bill does not drop, which is why this only makes sense if the new app does something the old one could not.

Can Growave reviews be migrated?

Yes. Growave exports all review data as CSV, and review import and export is available on every plan including Entry. Judge.me, Okendo and Stamped all accept CSV imports. Check that photo and video review URLs survive the transfer, since media is where imports usually break.

What replaces Growave wishlists?

Swym Wishlist Plus is the main option, from $29.99 a month on 3,000 wishlist actions. It is the most expensive single piece of an unbundled stack and the reason unbundling does not pay below 1,000 orders a month.

Is an all-in-one app cheaper than several specialist apps?

Below roughly 1,000 orders a month, yes. Growave Entry is $15 against about $57 for the three-app stack. Above that the overage rate takes over, and at 10,000 orders the stack costs $473.99 against $999. Our free Shopify loyalty apps roundup covers the entry tiers that sit under both.

Which alternative supports POS?

Love Loyalty from Professional at $12, Joy from Advanced at $129, Smile.io on every plan, Appstle from Starter at $10 and Rivo from Essential at $15. Growave includes Shopify POS on all tiers. Our POS and omnichannel roundup compares the plan gates app by app.

What is the best Growave alternative for loyalty only?

Love Loyalty for feature breadth, Appstle Loyalty for cost, Smile.io for the simplest setup. At 2,000 orders a month those cost $79, $30 and $199 respectively. If you are heading for Shopify Plus, our Shopify Plus loyalty apps roundup narrows it further.
